BAM [8 PM] ~$20, $25, $30, $35This special Sufjan Steven BQE show started and ofcourse we were late. I was really looking forward to hearing Sufjan's BQE piece played by his band and orchestra. Since we were late we only heard (and saw) about 15 minutes of the BQE piece, but luckily, unknown to me, the playbill said that the second set of the night would be "Sufjan Plays the Hits." After the intermission Sufjan, his band, and the orchestra came out and played an amazing set of his songs to everyone's pleasure. We loved this gig. There were great sounds and images coming from the stage, and Sufjan was really funny too! I didn't know much about this show heading into it, but I was happily surprised with the entire event, even if we did miss most of his BQE piece.
